A trio of the unexpected……
Playing together since 2021, these three experienced musicians combined their musical backgrounds and through the collective haze of many musical evenings jamming together in a remote cabin nestled in the woods overlooking Digby Gut in southwest Nova Scotia, The Fog was born. With an eclectic repertoire that includes covers from Sinatra to Sublime and just about anything in between, as well as a growing catalogue of original material, these three have created a unique sound.
"My name is Scott Henderson. My wife, Dawn Oman, and I are co-owners of the Dawn Oman Art Gallery in Bridgetown Nova Scotia. We own an 1872 deconsecrated church building. We have been hosting musicians of all genres in our sanctuary, turned music venue, since 2017.
We have had the joy and a pleasure of hosting Richard, Gwen and Gary, a.k.a. “The Fog“ on several occasions over the past five years. They have also rented our space to do a recording session.
Richard, Gwen and Gary are the kind of performers that know how to engage the audience and include them in the performance. Not only are they great musicians, capable of presenting covers and original music in their own special way, they seem to exude a love for being on the stage and giving their audience something to take home with them. To Dawn and I, they are not only a “local group“ that we always look forward to hosting, they are musicians who deserve to be on stage outside of their regular stomping grounds. Summer Daze…..
Summer is going fast, but it's not over! We are gearing up for a couple of great shows this week so you can find some fun! We'll be at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition in Lawrencetown on Wednesday, August 19. This is one of Nova Scotia's premiere summer exhibitions with a great midway, lots to see and all your favourite competitions! Come find us on the Arena Stage from 8-10! After that we'll be heading up to the big city on Sunday, August 23, for an afternoon matinee at Bearly's House of Blues! It's a Crib & Country afternoon….if you're in Halifax, drop in for a friendly game of Crib and great live music, 3-6:30!

The Community Votes Annapolis Valley Campaign is now closed! Votes are now being tabulated. Stay tuned. Last year we won the Platinum Award for Local Band! We are thrilled to have made it to the “Short List” of 17 bands in all three categories that we were nominated for: Local Band, Entertainer and Live Entertainment.
